Community Hospitals

It is convenient and safe to gamble in lightning link poker machine, because you can do it in the warmth of your own home. There are 13 community hospitals across Somerset and each offer a wide range of volunteering experiences. These will vary from hospital to hospital but will include activities such as; supporting social activities, providing one to one companionship, helping at meal times, assisting with the shopping trolley, hand massaging, reception tasks, administration and even gardening. There is something to meet everyone’s skills and many volunteers choose to fulfil more than one role. As with all community health volunteering we require a longer term and regular commitment in terms of available hours.

Speech and Language Therapy Service

This service provides support to people who have either acquired or have congenital communication problems. We have volunteering opportunities to work on a one-to-one or group basis.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Service

Our volunteers attend the Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme venues and assist with the organisation and support of these programmes and attendees under the direction of a Lead Cardiac Nurse.

Breastfeeding Champions

A Volunteer Breastfeeding Champion will need to be a mother, of any age, who has had experience of breastfeeding and can support other mothers to have a positive experience.

For all of these Volunteering opportunities we provide you with a specialised induction, training and ongoing supervision.
